Help! Ep3 pulling codes without a scanner please read for story
So I replaced all the plugs and cylinder 1 plug is clean and smells like fuel, 2 is slightly blackened, 3 totally black with carbon, 4 is same as one. Any ideas?
hello all, I recently replaced my camshaft on my ep3 3 weeks ago. Since then I have been unable to start the car unless I give it a bunch of gas to start & keep it running. I jumped the OBD2 port for a flashing code and eps light is flashing 22 for long and short periods of time. I can’t afford to tow it and I def can’t afford a new scanner, can someone assist? I would appreciate any insight. BTW spark plugs are all good. Thanks guys!

any thing you did when you changed the camshaft is suspect. retrace. recheck
wirings, plugs, etc.
as others have said, auto parts shops would read the codes for free.
when removed, old sensors could start failing as well.
is the camshaft a type that works within the original ECU range?
all else failing, put original cam back

Hey thanks for your reply, everything appears to be perfect, I did it twice. It’s starting but won’t stay that way. Code is saying EPS 22, wtf I don’t know.

Why was the camshaft replaced? Performance upgrade? What camshaft did you put in?
Drive it and get it scanned with a code reader.

have a friend look at it? Preferably someone used to do mechanical/electrical jobs
