7th Gen Fuel Economy

Hi everyone. I thought it might be beneficial to start a thread to discuss fuel economy in the 7th generation Civic. Please post the year that you drive, submodel (DX, LX, HX, EX), transmission type and post the fuel economy that your car gets.

My 2002 Civic EX with a manual transmission gets about 330 miles to a tank for an approximate 28.5 miles per gallon.

Re: 7th Gen Fuel Economy

highway or city affects MPG
I get about 33-36 for city/highway, highway only got the best at 46 for a tank

I have an '02 EX with a K20A2 swap. I average around 32-34 and about 400 miles driving mostly on back roads. Most I ever saw was 36 with lots of highway time.

Re: 7th Gen Fuel Economy

When I had my 2002 ex mt, I'd average 350-380 miles to the tank, mostly suburban surface streets. Road trips would usually yield me 380-420 miles.

Had all the bolt on mods (aem v2 intake, ceramic coated header, high flow downpipe with cat, full cat-back exhaust), Crower stage 1 intake, lightweight flywheel, lightweight rims, some minor body lightening. Those are the only mods I could think of that would have any affect on fuel economy

Stock 05 AT, non-vtec sedan I average 7.9L/100kms. (29.8 mpg).
My gold 05 with a stick and cruise I got better mileage.

2005 honda civic si ep3 5 speed manual 75k miles. I am doing good to get 30 mpg usually about 29.5, have had it as low as 25 and as high as 32 mpg.
it seems low geared, best mpg around 3500 rpm under 60 mph.
