Bent chassis leg

Hi all

Turned right into path of truck and my drivers side (right side) front corner of car smashed. Right hand chassis leg bent and connections to right front wheel broken off. Engine looks ok but had to switch it off immediately after impact as car spun across road it was revving as if I had the accelerator floored (foot was off accelerator). Car written off by insurers. Do not want to repair and then find that gearbox is damaged, worried that drive shaft may have damaged it. Would that explain the uncontrolled revving? Car is in hands of insurers at present.

Re: Bent chassis leg

Perhaps the engine was pushed over and some how the throttle cable was stuck open.
