Re: What's the difference between ex, dx, lx?
dx: base model. no power anything. Non-vtec engine, something like 115 hp
lx: came with some power stuff, maybe ac? I forgot what it included. Same engine as the LX
ex: Power everything. Moon roof. AC. VTEC engine with 127hp.
probably more differences, those are the only ones I know off the top of my head

I am of Spanish decent.
I wish I could say I am of Mexican decent.
At least I wouldn't come from conquistadors.

Issuing a personal death threat online that remains in print for an infinite amount of time and can be held against you in court with a subpoena..You really didn't think that one through. Do you know how easy it is to track personal information based on an IP address? Let's all take it down notch.

^^Dude really is paranoid and delusional. And 3 days late to the party.
If he wants to slit throats with his pea shooter, he's doing it wrong.
Shall I post his IPv4 and IPv6?

Back to the original question......
The EX also has an aluminum oil pan. This is really nice if you have to remove it since there are pry points at all four corners. Mine came off quite nicely when I had to remove it to access removal of the oil pump. Re-installation was fairly easy as well. The seal is an RTV seal.
The DX and LX probably have the steel pan, and may not come with pry points. This may make them a bit more difficult to remove without deforming the metal. The seal may be a preformed gasket instead of the RTV.
I have the EX and I'm happy with all the power options. But the VTEC engine is certainly nothing to brag about. It is still severely underpowered. My old '99 Saturn SL2 with DOHC had more power than this thing for sure. But Civics are much more refined than other economy cars IMO.
