SRS light on.

So today I installed a Momo wheel on my 01 coupe. I Now because I don't have an air bag I have a red SRS light on, on my dash. Any ideas as to how I can get rid of it?

here's a pic of the goods

Re: SRS light on.

You need to put a resistor in the clip to shut the light off. You can find what value you need on Google, I cant remember. It was something low like 2 or 1.5 ohm.

Re: SRS light on.

I'd leave the idiot light glowing bright.

I'm pretty sure that I don't want to be on the wrong end of a judges' gavel over defeating a vehicle safety system.

i'm pretty sure removing the air bag at all would put you in that position.

Re: SRS light on.

I actually had a 93(?) hatch in the shop this week, freshly lowered, in for an alignment.

Had an aftermarket steering wheel, no air bag. SRS light shining bright.

Duly noted on the back of the work order.

Re: SRS light on.

the nice thing is my gauges are red so at night it doesn't even stand out. for now I just moved the wheel down a scooch so I can't see it most of the time.
