Exclamation 2003 Civic coupe NO A/C !!!!!!!

I'm new to this forum so not sure if there is already a tread on this (Sorry). I have a 2003 honda civic lx. The problem is I have no A/C the ac button lights up green and stays on but compressor doesn't turn on nor the radiator fans. I did the blink test on the controls and showed the blend door was inop. I checked the door and found the motor was bad but can operate by hand. Has anyone had this exact problem? If so what was wrong?

Re: 2003 Civic coupe NO A/C !!!!!!!

Time for some basic AC diagnosis.
Is the freon empty? (That does NOT mean add freon, that means see how much pressure the system has in it.)

If pressure is sufficient that the low pressure shutoff shouldn't be preventing the compressor from operating, then other steps would need to be taken to figure this problem out.

My next step is to get my scanner and see if the PCM is receiving a valid AC request, and then see if the PCM is commanding the compressor to run, or see if there is something the PCM is sensing that is prohibiting compressor operation.

Got a volt meter, and do you know how to use it?
Are you good with wiring?

Would you be better off just sending it to a capable shop?
