sooooooooo when i come to a complete stop i hear this clicking noise in the rear right that is in cadence with the rotation of the tires and it only happens when im brakeing...so im planning on replacing the shoes but if there is any other possible culprit to this issue please let me know

If it is only when you apply the brakes it is more than likely the cause.. Is your E-Brake loose? do you have to pull it really far for it to get tight? if so that is a good sign rear brakes are shot...

i would just remove the drum and inspect it first, you may not need new shoes, it could just be dirt or something in there

What he said, doubt shoes will fix it though unless the friction is wore off of broken or something. If it is making noise it is likely the drums. If the drum is out of round you can here the shoes clicking while rubbing back and forth on the backing plate.

Unless they are oil/brake fluid etc. soaked, contrary to what everyone says it is not necessary to change pads or shoes when replacing drums or rotors. Clean them up with some brake cleaner that you are already using to get the preservative off the new parts.

People can say what they want and I used to be in the same camp, but unless you can give a reason for pads, OEM warranty work doesn't wanna pay for them. Turned alot of rotors and cleaned it all up and put the same pads back on and guess what they worked fine....

If you just want to adjust the parking brake because the shoes are ok you can adjust them via the adjusters. Pull a drum off and you will see them. They only tighten one direction unless you defeat the ratchet...
