03 Si check engine light on
Hi i just purchased my EP3 at 116700 miles, it just turned 117000 and the check engine light came on. Any idea what it could be? this really bums me out because i just got it and its my first car

Yup. We can't help figure out what's wrong without the diagnostic trouble code...

Alright well thanks anyways, I was wondering if there were common problems with it. Like on my moms 03 CRV the check engine light comes and goes and weve replaced the o2 sensor multiple times. Just wanted to see if it was something like that. Ill take it it, keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

Just go to autozone or something. They'll read the code for free. Report back to us, we'll see what we can do to help you fix it.

If where you live doesn't do visual inspections, I'd just do a mechanical O2 simulator.. That'll run you all of $5 and 30 minutes of your time..
