Hey just a quick question pertaining to my MT fluid. How long can you leave the tranny dry of fluid? I'm waiting for my clutch to come in and started the process of removing the tranny but wanted to know if I could safely leave the tranny dry of fluid for a few days maybe even till monday if its not in the week...?

It will be fine, just remember to fill it after the install before you run it.

I would plug the open (axle) holes with paper towels or something to keep dirt out while it is sitting (don't damage the axle seals though).

I'm going to say its a pretty safe bet that this tranny wont come out without the removal of the sub frame?

Is one side of the disc missing its lining? That's a big wad of cat fur there. Abuse?

No, the trans won't come out without removing the subframe, but I can replace a clutch without completely removing the trans too. Just slide it back and work through a narrow slot LOL. (I haven't tried to pull the flywheel off with the trans in the way though.)

I dont tend to burn the clutch ever, just last week hahah it was on its way out so I had some fun
