clutch making creaking noise

When ever i press my clutch in it makes a loud creaking noise. Any ideas?

i drive a 2001 honda civic dx 62000 miles

i guess ALOT of our clutch pedals do that...try wd40 on the pedal or somethin if it really bothers you. i just crank the tunes if i hear it

alright i will try wd40, Its not a squeaking, more like a creaking when you press down, it doesnt make any noise when you lift up

got the same problems as you, but mine squeaks/creaks when you press it down AND when you let it up like in the video below. Try and listen when you press it down if the sound also comes from outside the car (under the hood). I found that when I press the clutch down, the creaking noise is actually coming from my slave cylinder, not sure why. I just changed it a couple days ago, and the damn thing still makes the noise. Don't really care about the noise, but my clutch pedal was engaging in a strange way, so I decided to just go ahead and change it anyway. Engagement is better, but the squeal remains. Main thing it works, right? Haha!
