Manual Transmission Rebuild Issue

I just replaces my Input Shaft Bearing and Seal in my '02 Civic. Since this is such a common problem, I'm hoping someone can help with the issue I'm having. I got the case back together, sealed and torqued, shift console back on, and now I can't select 1st or Reverse. Everything seemed to go back together fine. Is this normal? What are some of the things I could have missed/done wrong? The tranny is still out, I'm not putting it back in until I think its right.

Re: Manual Transmission Rebuild Issue

post a couple pics of the tranny as if you were about to put it back in...want to see if your bearings are right...

did you tighten all the tranny bolts according to the manual? (if there is a pattern)..when i did mine, i just did it like you would a tire top, bottom, side, side

is your cable bracket on right? did you possibly put it on wrong?
Can you go in any other gears?
