headlight problem

ok so a few days ago my drivers side headlight decided to go dim so i changed the bulb and that did not work still was dim then when i turn on the high beam that side just shuts off and i only have the passanger side light on. i checked the fuse and its fine and i changed the ground wire and that did not do anything does anyone have any ideas on what could cause this.

Re: headlight problem

when u turn ur high beams on, ur lowbeams will shut off. so thats normal.

are u running halogen or hids on ur headlights?

ur low beam filiment is probably out.

check ur fuses in the hood. there is a separate for the left and the right.

Re: headlight problem

You might try moving the connector around while the light is on and look for changes (don't break your bulb)

On the 01-03 voltage is fed to the common terminal of the high and low beam filaments, and then either the high or low beams other end of filament is provided ground to light.
