Lowering Question

Hey i'm looking to lower my civic about 1.5 to maybe 2 inches at most, while on a budget. Not looking to go completely cheap, but I was hoping you guys could point me towards the brands and that I want that's good quality and not too expensive. I'm really looking for stock ride quality with lowered appearance. A list of what I would need to drop (options) and the prices I should look at!

Thanks Guys!

I could even settle for 1 inch if it fits into a smaller budget.

Re: Lowering Question

absolutely not you can't get a good quality shock sping combo or coilover and have a comfortable ride for less then 800-1000 dollars. most people go koni shock+ground control sleeves or progress technology series one full coilover.

Re: Lowering Question

alright gotcha, i've looked into getting TOKICO%u2019s HP Series Shocks and Eibach Springs, would this make a good, quality and less expensive combo?

do all springs require new shocks? i'm looking at the Eibach Pro Kit because I saw good things on this site about it.

Re: Lowering

get a camber kit too. your going to go through tires fast cuz they're going to be tilted inward and it makes the inside of the tire wear faster.
i just had to spend 400 on a new set of tires for 18''s and i still had half tread on the outside of the tires. but the insides were balder than mr. bigglesworth.

Re: Lowering Question

If you want a good 1.5-ish drop, either the eibach sportlines (1.4" F/R) or tein s-techs (1.3/1.4 F/R) with tokico blues will do you good. That setup alone will run you probably $850. Another $100 or so for a camber kit, another $100 for an alignment.

the eibach pro kit only drops you 1"

lowering springs don't require new shocks, but it will wear out your stock shocks a lot faster. Do the job once and save money.
