Post up grade

My 01 civic engine 1.7lt , manual, have 271 000 clicks on it, recently I dected a oil leak @ the passanger side of the head, so instead of fixing it I want to replace the engine, but at the same time I will like to go with a biger engine, or vtech!!
does adding a vtech or a bigger inline 0f a 01-05 fit the bolt pattern on my tranny??

Re: up grade

I'm not so sure adding V-Tech will do much to your car. Call quality may be a little better though...

Re: up grade

all our cars are 1.7, so no bigger ones.
If you refer to the Si, they need a lot more work to fit them in and costs a lot (look for K-swaps).
Adding V-TEC heads - look for D17A2 head swap (Am tired of answering the same stuff so many times - they are in the forum )
