I just bought a used 2002 Civic EX coupe, and have noticed that when turning, and usually turning while breaking, especially within the first few minutes of starting the car, I hear a light pop, and can feel it just slightly in the break pedal. It doesn't pop pop pop, like I have heard can be symptomatic of CV joint problems, but what else could that be? The front brakes and rotors were recently replaced.

I'd say that LCA bushings, they need to be replaced at a certain point.

Labour should be around $150, and parts between $15 and $50.

is your car lower??? if so you might need to reinstall your shocks/springs , or need to replace the top mount,

if you are lowered, yes the stock suspension parts will take a serious beating. bushings, endlinks, etc.

not lowered, as far as I can tell. I don't think the previous 2 owners did any kind of mods.

well even so, the front LCA bushings (there are 4 total, two per side) are usually torn by 50k miles on stock suspension. they are not designed well at all and the weak rubber will tear up over time, affecting cornering and causing metal to metal noise. also can cause serious alignment issues and tire wear. i switched to the energy suspension replacement poly bushings that will pretty much outlast the car. they are stiffer and much beefier. they do sometimes squeak in cold weather, but the benefits are worth it.
