SRS light came on

I find it suspicious that i had the last recall done for my 2001 civic ex coupe which was the for the airbag inflator in may, and since then i only put 300 miles on the car, and now the SRS light came on. Prior to it staying it on it seamed like it would stay lit up longer then usuall on startup, well now it is on.

My first question to you guys, does it not seam logical that the cause could be done by the work that was done on it, ie loose connection?

The service writer who i talked to over the phone clearly said it could not be the case. Does anyone have info on this recall and know if they had to unplug the air bag to change the inflator valve? My thoughts say that they would have had to for safety reasons while working on it but i could be wrong.

Has anyone else had issues with there SRS system causing the light stay on, like is this a regular occurence for this issue?

(I want to drive to the dealership and knock the service write out also)

Re: SRS light came on

Sounds like the most likely cause to me.

Mine just came on a few weeks back in my 04. Turns out it's a whole module issue with a 600$ replacement fee. Probably gonna do it myself. You can reset the light and see if it returns.

Bazinga! Or a small piece of coated wire works too. Little tricky though.
