D2 coilovers

ok so i got them installed today and i was driving home and i had them on full soft and it was super bouncy so i put them on almost full hard and now its super stiff but still bouncing all over the place i might find a balance eventually but my question is do they have a break in time? how many miles would i have to drive before they feel any better.

Re: D2 coilovers

500 miles... 3 weeks? Something like that. I'm not sure about the D2's but if you compress the spring too much, it will be super bouncy.

Re: D2 coilovers

oh ok thanks triz and i didnt compress the spring too much i just think they need to be broken in and then theyll be fine. im new to coilovers so the stiffness was a surprise. but they only bounce when im driving slow if im going fast i dont feel anything. idk what that means though? is that what they are supposed to do? again this is my first set of coilovers so im completely new to this

Re: D2 coilovers

The more you use them, the more you understand how they will react.. each brand is different of course. I would set them in the middle of hard and soft and decide if they rebound too quick- aka the ride is too stiff, or if they are too bouncy- and rebound really slow.
