Re: Why, Why, Why!?...

Thanks to all your help guys...Did my coupe (red ring) gauge swap to the sedan (blue ring) gauges today and it went as smooth as possible. All the lighting is perfect...the gauges work perfectly...no cel or other unnecessary lights...only thing is I need to get my odometer reflashed...Here's a couple pics.

Also, just got my sub and amp set-up done...gotta clean up the wiring...paint the amp rack...and maybe even move/ build a new amp rack...Here's also a clean pick of the sub box...kinda hard to see in my trunk...

Re: Why, Why, Why!?...

i like the amp rack it looks clean but now your trunk looks cluttered lol, did you consider mounting the amps behind the subs on the back of the rear seats?

Re: Why, Why, Why!?...

I did...there is room back there, but the thing is though the two amps will overheat if I put them back there because they'll have no air flow...i don't know what else to do either...that's why I quickly put together that amp rack...

Re: Why, Why, Why!?...

my only suggestion would be mount the bottom amp on the rear seat and take the rack out and mount the top amp on the floor of the trunk cause i know that your going for the blue lights but it does look kinda cluttered and you cant really see your subs too well.

Re: Why, Why, Why!?...

Yeah I'm thinking about hanging it off the trunk lid...kinda hard to explain and envision, but like another shelf in the trunk where the back windshield ends...I definitely need to think of something cause the sub box I got fits amazing in the trunk so I gotta show it off...haha...

Or I was thinking of of making a false floor and then putting plexi glass, but I don't wanna lose my spare tire...and then I can't put it on my sidewalls because of how I'd have to hide the wiring...

As for the the blue/ blue lighting theme...I love it...Red and blue would look great...post up pics if you got some...I'm also putting more blue lighting in the trunk and maybe under the engine bay...have parts of the engine bay painted blue...calipers and lug nuts blue...and you already know the interior so I'm almost there with the whole theme...

Re: Why, Why, Why!?...

haha yea ill post some pics once i get my hids in. which will prob be in a lil while cause i wanna get my coilovers put in at the same time.

my car came with a red cluster which i love cause i think it looks amazing cause my car is red so it matches. and i wanna get like a bright white/blue map and dome lights for the inside with some red led strips for under the seats and like where the gas and brakes are along with it being on the passenger side.

and yea i know what you mean about it being hard to describe an envision and sometimes it sucks having big dreams for your car lol. and yea i get what you mean when you wanna put it on the trunk. i think that would look pretty good. post pics when you do it.

Re: Why, Why, Why!?...

I didn't do it all at once...did it all gradually...I love the whole set up and it came together unbelievably...I was worried my car would rattle too much or it wouldn't be enough bass or blah, blah, blah...it is all perfect!...just the amp rack...lol...

The subs push hard and can either make my windows/ mirrors shake or can just be that soothing bass...the speakers hit the perfect clarity with the tweeters and crunch amp...love my set up...when you get the money, the chance, and are done with all your other mods...sound is a great things...
