reese's cup interior

So I installed my black RSX leather into my tan interior. Looks like a giant reese's cup lol. I plan to switch the interior to black next. I know I need door inserts and carpet as well as a head liner. Is it possible to change the top of the door inserts? I don't have a camera right now so I can't take pics. Hopefully getting one or borrowing one next week. Just ordered back seats to match. Any idea if they fit naturally or if mods are needed?(Litle tipsy so sorry for the corniness lol)

Re: reese's cup interior

i think they all come like that man. theyre that plastic/vinyl type material. and if you did the top somehow, you would have to do the bottom area where the big pocket and the speakers are too or it wouldnt look as good. i bet if you really want you could get it done though, but just remember...it might look good at first but later on it might not look so good because the outer sides of that plastic stuff is where the door closes. one side would get dirty from where all your door hookups are, and the other side would get dirty from just dirt and dust. i dunno though, itd be cool to see someone try it.

Re: reese's cup interior

I'm going to look into it. If worse comes to worse, I'll change the carpet, head liner and inserts. Good idea on the cloth though if the full swap doesn't work. I have some money to play with so we will see where it goes. If I DO get a full swap I'll post a DI or atleast an idea since Iwon't be doing it myself..

Re: reese's cup interior

i coverd my plastic pillars with fake suede but i sanded them first for a better bond it does hold strong.and being synthetic its basically water proof.
