Just bought a civic

this weekend I just bought an 03 civic coupe. The dealership only had a key and a remote lock. Do I need to go to a Honda dealership to get another key and remote lock?

You dont NEED another key, may be nice to have a spare incase u misplace your key. Keep in mind it costs about $50 for the key, $50 for the remote plus another $50 flat fee for programming the key aswell as the remote. I think thats what the dealer told me when i was thinking of getting a extra set.

I know I don't necessarily need another key, but I'm afraid of losing the one I have, knowing my luck it will happen when I don't have a spare.

That is absolutely ridiculous with the pricing!!!

i had only one key too, all i did was make one without the programming and a auto parts store so incase i locked my keys in the car or missplaced them, i'll have this to open it atleast
