you will not be able to pass it legally. It only fools the CEL and not the gas that comes out.

dont most place plug an obd tester in and thats it? basically if the cel is off, your car passes.

Re: weapon R C.E.L. eliminator

I've got a race header on mine with a full catback and obviously no cat. I picked up an angled O2 sensor from ebay for 26 bucks, very high quality I must say, and I havent gotten a CEL. (I actually got my first one two nights ago, but it wasnt for a fail in the O2 sensor or AFR but for the fuel temp sensor...??? I dont know what that was about, I cleared it and it hasnt come back) Anyways, you'll trick your ECU and also pass and odb2-only emissions check. But seriously- you've got to be an idiot to not realize when a cat isnt on a car anymore. My car smells like fuel, its really bad. Imagine starting your car in a closed garage... after about 2 or 3 minutes you'll start smelling the exhaust... When I sit in traffic my cabin air ends up sucking in the nasty exhaust smell from not having a cat.

I'm thinking that I wont pass emissions if they guy has a functioning nose. I'm thinking about modifing the pipe just after the race header- buying a new one and taking it to an exhaust shop to weld some flanges inplace so I can hook up my friends cat just for emissions (he drives a tsx with a RT hiflow cat- his now spare oem cat is just one separate piece) This way I still have my oem ex downpipe intact for whenever I want to go back to stock ex exhaust condition.
