Re: 7 lbs clutch

Less weight on the flywheel will allow it to spin rev faster which equals faster acceleration. But at the same time, when your in gear and take your foot off the gas you will decelerate just as fast- which sucks in a DD.

Re: 7 lbs clutch

oh thanks! i checked out the ACT Prolite and Streetlite and they say that for dd you should go with a Streetlite. Prolite is 8.5 LBS and streetlite is 12.5ish LBS.
would it still suck for a dd with streetlite?

Re: 7 lbs clutch

I'd just resurface the stock flywheel. Shouldn't really need to get a new one unless you've got some serious power.

You need a more powerful clutch for sure if you have crazy power but I think running the stock flywheel will still be fine no mater how much power your making, but a lighter flywheel will allow you to rev faster.

I think you would be better with 12.5lb, your not trying to break any records are you? It'll give a little more pep to your ride without the added aggervation.
