Fans do not come on
Re: Fans do not come on
it cant be ur thermostat.. cuz ur car would automatically overheat... once a thermostat goes bad.. it stays closed...now is ur car overheating right now??? did u leave it on for like 20 mins and check if it overheats?? did u check ur fan connectors??

check the fan relays (the small boxes in the fuse box). maybe they went bad. it is getting colder now too^ so you dont need the fans as much for cooling as you would in the summer.
Re: Fans do not come on
Damn bro still havent fixed this? Maybe it is ur coolant temperature sensor that is not making them come on? I believe once that reads a certain temperature it kicks on ur fans. I am in NY and I have one u could use to check it with if ur close by.

Re: Fans do not come on
theres actually a second sensor for that, called the radiator fan temp sensor, its right next to the ect (engine coolant temp) by the thermostat.
Re: Fans do not come on
idk i think it is the sensor but i really really think my radiator got a hole because wen i pop the hood is was coolant ever wear on the motor it overheat wen i beat on it that it and then i c mad coolant ever wear !!!!

In theory thermostats are designed that if they fail they fail open to avoid overheating.

Re: Fans do not come on
Well I think I finally figured it out in my car. My fans dont kick on at all since its so cold out here unless the a/c is on but I just waited till the engine was cold and ran it with the radiator cap off and kept filling it after the bubbles until it finally stopped, and then after it reached operating temp I put on a glove and squeezed the bottom hose a little so any air left would come out, and then I revved it, kept it revved, waited for the radiator to suck the fluid down, kept it revved, filled the fluid to the top and put the cap on. Ever since, no issues.
