Ebay OEM fog lights,
Hi Everyone,
I bought a set of Fog lights for my 03 civic LX from Ebay, and followed the install in the DYI section, the only thing that I am not sure of is that in the harness inside the car only have 1 wire black that is the ground, and 2 connectors that i am assuming connect to the fuse box under the steering.
Is that correct?
In the DYI section there's more then 2 connectors, so I was not sure how to wire them, or give power.
can someone help please?
THanks

Re: Ebay OEM fog lights,
pics would help a lot in this case...as ebay kits vary from company to company...
i'd say welcome to the site as well, but i see you've been sneaking around here for 3.5 years!

Re: Ebay OEM fog lights,
Green goes to your supplied fog switch and is apart of the "switch harness"
The brown clip plugs into the underdash fusebox. look for a two vacant spots side by side above two relays(big black boxes).
White clip with red wire goes next to brown clip and you are done!
Make sure all connectors make contact with the contacts! Mine didn't and needed some little modifications.

Re: Ebay OEM fog lights,
Well i did exactly that with the wiring, and unfortunatly form me it did not work.
Tested the connections in the fuse box and all is good, ground is good.
nothing is happpening when i try to turn on the lights with the switch.
Damn.

Re: Ebay OEM fog lights,
Take pictures of your whole set up. I think you might have put the wrong wire in somewhere.
At the same time, did you check the rest of your system for any abnormalities?

Re: Ebay OEM fog lights,
OK I have same issue plus some. The cheesy kit I got has only the single wire connector to the fuse box, so it's live no matter what. It does have a relay, but it appears to only be in there so the switch doesn't melt.
Sooo, my question is; where is the easiest spot for me to snag 12V from the low beams to trigger the relay? Does anyone see a problem if I just take the 12V from the accessory/remote wire from the back of the radio(I already have a sub amp hooked into that btw).
I just don't want power going to the cheesy ebay switch 24/7, too much of a fire hazard for my taste, plus the constant drain of the light on my batt will not be good on a -13 degree morning(hurray for the northeast)
Thanks
