engine died

I was driving the civic thursday afternoon and all the sudden my cell came on and started blinking, smoke came pouring out my exhaust. Got it towed to the dealership. Come to find out my spark plug blew apart and fell into my block. So it is completely F'd. Does anyone know what the hell caused this? Also I am in greenville, sc does anyone know a good shop down here that I can get a swap done at. I just moved down here a little while ago. So i have been more focused on my house than my car. Stupid Honda

Re: engine died

That blows dude!! Sorry about the bad luck.

What brand spark plug was it??

Are you sure something didn't destroy the plug, which then completely destroyed the motor?

Re: engine died

Or are you sure that the spark plug even fell into the motor? I remember the dealer telling me I had a broken motor mount, but on the next oil change didnt tell me.

in any case, it is really not that hard to swap out an old engine, and d17's costa bout as much as a new set of tires
