help w/ drop
help w/ drop
I'm dropping the vic with springs but I hate the sag in the rear that you get with a system and a full size spare.I was thinking of getting tein springs so would there be any negative effects with going s-tech's on the front and h-tech's on the rear? Would the extra weight in the trunk not compensate for the difference?Even if the weight didnt totally counteract the drop I like the lower in the front look better than the alternative.Would this setup work or are adjustable coilovers the only answer?
Re: help w/ drop
I don't see a problem with doing s-tech in the front and h-tech in the rear, I don't personally understand why you don't just do all s-tech but everyone has their own opinion. Try it out and tell us what you think.
Re: help w/ drop
I was considering S.techs in the rear and megan in the front. I have stechs all around but my rear is lower because of weight. its rated at 1.4 but i bet its at least 1.5. so if i were to get megan, its rated at 1.5 so it should be almost even then.
Re: help w/ drop
i didnt really notice the stechs sagging in the rear, or if its actually lower than the front because but if you have a really heavy system in the back, then that might be why.
Re: help w/ drop
H-Techs are pretty sag resistant ive read. so youd be stuck with .8inches in the back. not to mention that spring setup will run like $300 new. and although megans are rated at 1.5, theyll actuallly drop you about 2.0
Re: help w/ drop
I know it will sag because my cousin's 7th gen is on S-techs's and it settled lower in the rear with his system and just a factory spare.I can get the springs cheap so $.$$ wont be a problem.Any suggestions on a different spring setup?
