Looking for genuine Honda keyless entry

Hey - I'm looking for a genuine Honda keyless entry system to put in my 2001 LX coupe. Problem is, the dealers and parts warehouses can't get the system anymore because Honda discontinued it. I don't really want to go aftermarket cause I'm wary of a bunch of random guys trying to run wires in my car and then it might not work right anyway. Anybody know where I could find one?

Ive looked with no success... As far as I know aftermarket is the only way to go unless you can find a junked civic to pull it out of.

Check around to find a reputable aftermarket source/installer, and you should have no worries about problems. Good shops do exist.

Re: Looking for genuine Honda keyless entry

keyless entry as in shaved door handles? if thats what we're talking about i have 2 sets of "door actuators" er "door pops" er w.e you call em that i got dirt cheap off a guy from work who never installed them on his truck, (so you know they're heavy duty to easlily open a small door). i'm not interested in installing them any more cuz i change my mind every other day bout my car. So if you want em i'll sell em to ya dirt cheap as well and i can take pictures of everything in the kit before hand. up to you

Re: Looking for genuine Honda keyless entry

No, not shaved door handles, just the simple keyless entry with remote from Honda. Just so I don't have to stick the key in the door every time I come to the car. Again, thanks for the input...
