Re: what is this rear lip??
ya its on ebay. I need a rear lip badly because I have a front RS (tybe B) lip and side aero skirts for my 01 coupe, but I still need a back lip and the car looks lame without one. I can't afford an OEM one, painted and shipped from handa-accesories for 330 bucks... they claim its a type "r" rear lip...

Re: what is this rear lip??
doesnt seem like its reliable or close enough fit huh?
I'm pretty much out of options and forced to drive around withuot a back lip until I can find an OEM one from someone... I don't think its fair to pay 300 bucks for a back lip... what do you think? am I just super cheap?

Re: what is this rear lip??
It should fit close enough. Have you factored in the price of having the rear lip painted? I've never got a quote, but theres a chance that the price of the lip plus paint might be close to what an OEM lip would be shipped.
Re: what is this rear lip??
I have that lip on my car. If you read the listing further you'll see that its not really urethane, but ABS plastic instead. I should know i bought mine off ebay. Check:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...156928817&rd=1
for 85$ shipped i think its a good deal, and it looks good too. And it has a decent sized hole for the exhaust to fit into. I have a DC sports cat back and it just fits. Mine actually got cracked when i backed into a chunk of ice last winter, so im living proof that it isn't urethane. But as long as you don't hit anything with it, it doesn't matter.
I can post pics of what it looks like on the car, but like i said mine is cracked a little. Im actually trying to replace it now, and it looks like i'll be grabbing another one of these from ebay since i can't find anything i like on the forums.
Lemme know if u wanna see pics.

Re: what is this rear lip??
yes pics, please...
I'm on a chrome tip factory exhaust, would it look too small to fill the gap?? I dont plan to upgrade to aftermarket muffler any time soon.
how much it did it cost you to paint it?
and what kind of front/sides do you have with it?
and painting shouldnt be an issue, I'm getting my front and sides painted and installed for only 160 bucks. (i have a very good relationship with this shop, and turns out the guy also does painting.) I think it wouldn't cost more than 50-80 bucks to paint the rear, compared to the OEM one that is 330 shipped. At teh same time I don't want to waste money on something that won't look good or looks too cheap.
thanks again

Re: what is this rear lip??
who ever said something about not scraping a rear lip....you're not low enough
i've scraped mine severely leaving my parents house...i now leave at a bout a 30 degree angle to the road and go quickly to avoid getting t-boned
i also managed to pull it completely off on a speed bump that didn't look as tall as it appeared to be
i've also raised my ride height by about an inch. PU us a plus, but so is ABS. either way means it will flex and not shatter if you snag it on something. besides, it's less than 100 bucks. if you screw it up royally, you're not out 300+

Re: what is this rear lip??
sorry dude. been kind of lazy. I feel terrible posting pics of it while its all smashed up anyway. I ordered another one last week and its in the mail, i can definitely take pics of it when it gets here so you can have an actual view of the product.
I posted some pics of my car a few days back. If you look at the last two pictures you can sort of get an idea of what it looks like/how its measures up, but its dark so you can't see much
Those are here: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/4...ebp-coupe.html
As for the painting, I think you can get it done for 80 or less, so you're only looking at around 160 or less for the lip painted and shipped. And as far as the hole goes, i don't think it will look too bad with stock exhaust, but you might have a different opinion.
Im going to post more pics that i'll be taking during the day so you can get a better view of it.

Re: what is this rear lip??
hey thanks again, well can u post some pics even if it's smashed?
I currently have an RS front, AERO SIDES, and hopefully this lip. In your honest taste, and i know you got some great tastes based on your car, would this 85 dollar one fit well on my car and make it a little bit more balanced? As you can see i only have the front installed right now

you think it'll flow well with what I have now and aero side skirts?
