Need some advice

I'm currently in a 2012 jeep grand Cherokee 4x4 before that was a 2003 Gti that I got off the lot dumped 10k under the hood. Long story short my wife has same car only 2wd and my payments are high but manageable and my mpg is ridiculously low compared to my Gti. 20 mpg to be exact. For that reason I test drove an elantra and a civic. I liked the civic way more. Main question here is are there aftermarket parts available for exes or just si. I would definatly get an si but my wife cannot drive a stick I've tried teaching her before and she said you have to get an auto. .. And we will swap cars on the weekend. Did anyone go from an SUV to a civic sedan and regret it?
