2008 - AC seems to always be on?
2008 - AC seems to always be on?
Is this normal - the dash indicator shows the AC off, but cold air is being sent out the vents and a puddle of condensate water is on the ground under the car after I park.
When I turn on the AC there is more cold air, it is as if the compressor is partially activated? Don't know a lot about AC, seems like it is broke, please advise.

Re: 2008 - AC seems to always be on?
When I first got my 2010 it was in my garage at work and I turned on the heater (not at floor/def or def) and I swear I heard the compressor kick in. Made no sense. I performed the common procedure for compressor override available on the 8thcivic website. After that the compressor will not kick in when at floor setting.
After this procedure is done if you go from another setting into floor/def or def the compressor will kick in and the A/C light will come on (normal) you can the push the A/C button to release the compressor and turn off the light.
