Knocking in left-rear suspension

Knocking in left-rear suspension
Hello all...
Ok I have a 2006 Civic LX Coupe and when the left rear wheel hits small bumps, there is a knocking noise. I'm wondering what this could be and where to start troubleshooting?
It's not hitting hard and other than the knock I don't hear anything else obvious. So, I figure the shock and spring are good.......but where to go from here, I don't know.
Any info would be great!
