is it okay to put a cai on an auto? anybody info would be appreciated! thanks in advance!

It should be fine. Just be careful not to drive into any deep puddles, because the placement of a CAI filter is usually near the bottom of the chasis, and could suck up a bunch of water, ruining your engine. Put in a Air-bypass valve if you are worried

An AEM or INJEN cai should both work great and are both very popular. But neither of them comes with an air-bypass valve

pvc pipe and a k&n filter. run u about 20 bucks and its just as good as AEM and INJEN... no seriously....its just as good. um.. if u live somewhere prone to lots of rainfall then a CAI might not be the best choice. AEM has one of those air bypass valve things...im pretty sure they do. If not get a short ram..wont make much of a difference anyway

Dsevenem2, do you know if they make one for the 06 civic si though? cause all i saw when lookin was the regular cai with no air bypass valve.

i sale a lot of Fujita's. I had CAI and SRI on my Si. I prefer the SRI. The CAI was a little sluggish on take off and improved throught the midrange. My SRI gave me a little better take off performance. Dont really know the effects on the non-si's.

anybody here has a ex auto with a CAI or SRI and how do they like it.....thinkin about gettin one but i want more input about it
