Apexi S-AFC

today got my S-AFC install and tune, not on a dyno. Anyway I like how the way it is tune. Just got a few question. When I disconnect the battier on the car, does the setting screw up (I mean go back to factory setting)? How do I keep track of what is the setting are like? Plz help because I don't want to keep going back to ask them to set it for me.

I to have a S-AFC and if you disconnect the bat. Terminal it will more than likly reset to factory setting because no internal memory. It just has the 12V power and works like you car stereo if you disconnect the batery on your stereo it resets so same priciple. Also it is relativly easy to figure out how to set up and use I don't have mine dyno either but I have 15%throttle @ -3% and @65% throttle I got +3% it works for me and no problems!! I am waiting for more mods to do a dyno but I can tell the difference with it installed.

nope, try again jasonerice. i have the S-AFC, and i have disconnected the battery numerous times, most recently to install my adjustable cam gear. disconnecting the battery does not reset the settings in the S-AFC, so don't worry about it.

also, you will get the best power gains if you set your settings to be LEANER. this is the chemistry of internal combustion. right now i have mine set at -3% for high throttle, and i don't want to go leaner than that till i get it dyno tuned. the only reason you would run richer is if you were running a nitrous or forced induction system and your fuel mix is TOO lean, as told by the air/fuel ratio gauge that you of course have.

enjoy that.
