I really don't mean to be a hater or diss you for trying something..

Cuase at least your trying!!

But you say you did four runs...
Well A CAI is only worth about 5 HP MAX ....
Your really not going to be able to feel anything by a test drive

Most of the gains comes from the increased pipe size, and the new non-restrictive filter.

You bypassed those by using the stock filter and the stock fittings.

And about the cold air...

Hot air rises. and the middle of the engine bay where you got your pipe is just stagnant hot air

I think you would be better off with just your SRI. . .

but i give you credit for being creative

After I ran my car a couple of times, my engine was definintely hot...don't get me wrong it was hot...but when i went to feel the pipe and the rubber thing i put on the end of it, it wasn't hot at all...besides, imma move the angle of the pipe around to a different spot and see if i notice anything while im driving it...thanks for the support and opinons...at least im the only one making a makeshift sorta CAI that looks pretty damn good and not ghetto!!

i had the injen SRI, it was great for high end but crapped out my low end pretty bad. now i feel a stockish+ lil more on the low end and still have the same high end i got from the injen. don't have dyno numbers but it's something i can definitly feel, more so than the injen SRI

Aight peepz....instead of the pipe i had going down toward the firewall, i now have it going out toward the front of the car, kinda like the SRI was pointing already...AND...next weekend me and my popz is gonna rewire the battery and put it in the TRUNK! I haven't seen a 7th gen with a battery in the trunk yet! I might be the first one to do it, i still have to search on the boards first....i think its gonna be cool...it will definitely give me HELLA room to make my custom intake and for all that EXCESS AIR to flow around...i think moving the battery to the trunk iz a novell idea...specially if your doin thangs like me!
