about the manual vtec switch
Would it be possible to manually switch on Vtec at whatever point you want? I was reading the instructions on the V-AFC, and I know you would have to be sending your own signal to the VTEC solenoid, but what signal does the V-AFC send to the ECU's VTM? Does anyone know anything about this or if this is even possible. Please let me know. Any input is greatly appreciated. we did not get any info on this does anyone have a clue about that

Why do you want to adjust it? The factory set it at the best point for the car. Don' t think that if you set your VTEC to engage at a lower rpm you will gain power, because you won't....you will lose power! VTEC works off of oil pressure, if you set it low you do not have neough pressure for VTEC to actually do anything, except lose power and screw your engine over. Only by a VAFC if your building a highly tuned N/A engine(which you probably aren't)

i used to want a V-AFC ... just as a 'just to have purpose, just incase i ever need it' ... plus having digital stuff about my engine and vtec engagement would be a cool thing just to show off lol .... but then i thought about how ur actually screwing with the way the engine is producing power and how much the possibility of screwing up ur engine is with one of these things ........ plus i basically got turned off by the V-AFC when i herd that it needed to be hard wired ahh
well now some people dont know what there talking about cuz when your vtec kicks in your oil pressure up's so um ya and if u kick in the vtec at around 5k rpm you can feel it pull so much harder and with that u can use vtec when engine check code is on and you well only screw it up if u dont know how to drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
