Well I was fixing my amp wires so I can start on putting in my system in trunk. I was piecing back together the rear deck and broke the bolt that holds the rotating latch (metal thing that connects both seat backs). I tried one of those easy-out extractors, but no luck, the threads seem to be too interlocked/stripped.
What do you guys suggest I should do? Should I drill out the bolt and then try re-threading it? Should I take it my mechanic and see if they can use a heat gun or weld a new head on the bolt? Any ideas guys????

If you have a dremel, go out and buy a tungsten burr. I forget the bit number, but its a 1/2 inch skinny cone with a round nose. Run it into the end of the bolt so you get a dimple deep enough to get the easy out into and try the easy out again. The Dremel will rough it up more than a drill so you'll have a better chance of getting the extractor to bite. Still no luck, drill it out, re-tap the hole and get a new bolt.

do you have the easy out that Sears advertises that only grabs the head of the bolt, or do you have the kind that you drill into the bolt.
If you haven't tried the kind that you drill into the bolt, they work really well, At Home Depot thier like $3-4 and come in all different sizes, Thier next to the drill bits in the tool coral.

yeah try the bolt extracter that drills into the bolt first, if that doesn't work id take it to a shop, they'll be able to get it out a lot easier than you can,........im just saying that way nothing gets *f'd* up

last time this happen to me, i took a really thin drill bit. and drilled into the center of the bolt. took a screw driver with pointy tip and hammered it into the hold. and just simply unscrewed it.
i did the same thing when i was cleaning up my amp wires... i broke both of the bolts off.. i took the seat into honda and the tech drilled the bolts out and re-tapped for free! but since then i bought a tap. i would re tap them to a bigger bolt. i used 10mm instead of 8
