its not hard at all dude.. just get a friend and do it... and to put in the new headlights u need to take off the bumper anyways so why not just go the next step...and people usually sell cleared headlights for 100-150 or so

anyway, the DIY isn't that hard. Just takes some knowhow. find someone in your area that has done it before and ask them to help you.

i was just in oklahoma city two weeks ago.. if i was going there again i would stop by and do it for u but i wont be back up there till december

you can always pop them in the oven at 250 degrees for 5-6 minutes. it pretty much lossens the glue, yet doesnt melt the plastic (as long as you keep ur eye on them).
This is kind of related to the question. Ive seen some cars with do-it-yourself black housing headlights. They keep the orange piece in it and somehow they get the housing black. What is it that you guys are painting, and what do you use to paint it? Spray Paint? Thanks.

Follow the clear headlights DIY, paint the chrome trim Black, most people use high temp engine paint, put the orange thing back in and close them up. If you want to keep the reflective coating in the turn signal, then mask over the orange thing and paint the lights with the orange thing (masked over) in place... that way the chrome will remain in the turn signal recess.
