Reset ECU help!!!!!!

Reset ECU help!!!!!! Hi all. I have a VAFC...installed i unplugged it and pugged it back again, and have a check engine light come up........does anyone know how to reset the ecu....please...and one more thing when i unplugg the VAFC....and start the car it shuts off.....

yeah, just unplug the black terminal for 10 minutes...then plug it back and let the car IDLE for 15 mins.
