Spark Plugs

Hey....I need to change my spark plugs this afternoon. But I wont have access to my owners manual at that time. So can anyone tell me the socket size to remove our plugs? And anythin i need to know about the whole "procedure"? I've seen it done on B series cars...but our cars are slightly different...just wanna check. Any help would be great.

I don't understand the gap post. Is changing the plugs just a matter of removing the old and popping in the new? Sorry for the newbie question.

Basicly thats what it is but when u buy new plugs they come pre-gapped. Remember there could be another car that can fit the same spark plug as your but has a different gap. Also the gap may change when the plug is shipped due to tossing of the container.

I did a quickie DIY on this last year. Check it out HERE if you need any pointers.

Since the subject of torqueing the plugs came up, I'm going to paste a paragraph in here with the proper information for putting them in w/o a torque wrench (which most of us probably don't have).
9. Now this is important!! Don't tighten it with the socket wrench until you've snugged it with your hand. Let me explain. You plac the plug in the socket, attached the extension and with your fingers, gently place it into the hole and turn clockwise with your fingers. If it tries to cross thread, you'll notice it immediately. Remember, these plugs take several rotations to seat all the way down, so if it cross-threads, you'll know quickly. After it snugs, you can then tighten it with the socket wrench. The back of the Denso package shows that a non-tapered plug like the IK20 should be tightened 1/4 to 1/2 turn when you do the final tightening. This will properly seal the metal gasket. Do NOT overtighten the plug, as you may strip the threads.
