From what i hear, just use a new wire brush to clean the surface for rust. As for the paint try to use the Hi temp paint found at auto zone, pepboys, pretty much any auto store.
Hope this helps

ok .. dont even take the brakes apart. leave the calipers on there... take the wheel s off ,then take a dish rag, or hand towel.. some towel that isnt took thick like a beach one ... and wedge it beteen the caliper and rotor ... takes a whole 5 seconds .... spray it. ur done... check mine out, a guy in daytona does them .. 5 bucks... any color i got metallic blue... check my members ride photos

I painted mine with automotive sign paint (the paint that businesses use for signs painted on windows & vans) & its worked great for over a year now. I would have spray painted mine but I just didn't feel like putting all the effort into taping off all the parts that didn't get painted (like the brake hoses & various other small parts). I just washed them off real well & then used a sponge type brush to paint the calipers. I used about 2 & a half coats.

hi,

I did succeed to paint my drum black, like original.

now I have to paint my caliper to black to match the drum...how can you mask the surrounding of the caliper? the area is small and detailed...

can someone tell me where on the caliper we have to be extremely careful to spray paint on?

thanks
