Need tach test wire pic location
Ok I am not a newbie, and I looked around for a pic, but I couldnt find anything.
Here is my deal.
About a year ago, I found the tach test wire under the hood. If I remember correctly, it was near the battery.
Now I am looking for it again. I have looked everywhere for that little blue wire with a gromet in it, and it is no where to be found. Does anyone have a picture of it, and the location of it? Cuase I think I am in the right area, but I just cant seem to locate it. BTW I looked for a hour, and still found nothing, I hope I am looking in the right spot.
Thanks guys for all your help!

they need to be more SPECIFIC on the DIY section. Rather than saying "its near the battery," say "its on the left side of the battery."
But yiah, if u look on the left side of you battery its electrical taped on the side of a wire loom, you should be able to just peel off the tape and you have your blue wire.

depending on what your trying to do, you can get the rpm from the same blue wire in the dash, if you remove the gauges and look at the wires in the cluster on the right side there is a blue one there and you can get a tach signal from there. hope it helps more than confuses you.

So it is taped to a wire loom? Do you know if it was taped to the underside of the loom? It should be a connecter attached to it right?
btw yes I agree, the DIY isnt the best

If you want to tap into the gauge cluster tach wire, look at this pic I took. Even the DX, which has no tach, has this wire going into the gauge cluster. I used it myself to hook up a 2-5/8" tach to my DX.
My original thread on it is HERE.

well i did find it after hours of searching and going to tweeter. It seems what happened was, when I had my alarm installed at tweeter, they cut the connector off the tach test line, and tapped into it, since it was part of the alarm. And what they did was wraped it with tape, into a wire loom. I knew I wasnt going crazy when I couldnt find it!
