Question about trunk?

alright, while i have my trunk ripped apart, i figured i may as well do some other stuff than what i have mentioned.. i was gonna do the DIY trunk shocks as well as my other DIY mods, and i was wondering if when i install the shocks, can i remove those two rods that run across the trunk connecting the hinges or what ever the arms are called that the current raising system is composed of. anyways, will my trunk still open and close correctly if i take out those rods?

ak can only hope to improve
It should as long as the shocks can hold enough pounds. Your best bet is to PM Grey since he did it first..
