what the f....

okay i recieved my oem fogs in the mail and i looked at one of the connectors and noticed this stuff inside of it. i'm wondering what it is--it looks like mayonnaise. i'm guessing it's for waterproofing, but i'm not sure. if it's not electrically conductive, wouldn't it prevent a proper connection? i don't know. look for yourself.

yup its a sealant to help for:

1. connectors to help stay together
2. seals so the wires are pretty much waterproof.
3. gets all over your fingers and clothes and you start to cuss!

Nothing to worry about, do some more DIY electronic **** and you'll see alot of that!

that's what i thought--it's way too much electro-mayonnaise. it's going to make a mess when i plug something in to that.

Take the extra and save it in a little jar for another electrical job. I had to go buy dieletric grease when I changed headlights and installed foglights. If you pull the plugs on your headlights you should find greas in the connectors. Also the prewired foglight plug in your right side inner fender is all greased up too.

JUST PLAYIN. Yeah I ran into some of that while changing my headlights too. That's all good.
