The bulbs are like .10", you will see once you crack your dash.

Rep Power: 0 Okay, you are right. Hey I just did the mirror and cruise controls. It was pretty easy! Definitely easier than center dash. These leds actually have stock bulb covers over them. It's weird but the mirror led bulb cover color is pink. I don't know how it comes out orange with the pink bulb cover. Anyway, I have a question about the cold and hot control (middle ****)on the center dash. What did you do for this? I mean I took off the color tab on the inside but the red and blue is still painted on the outside. I think I'm just gonna keep it and change the other ones. Also lastly, for the gear lights, is it easy to put the bulb covers on these too? Thanks ak

The gear light is easy, all you have to do is remove the center console and you will see 1 bulb. I'm pretty sure it has orange/pink gels too...

Rep Power: 0 hey ak my lighting looks like dark green. Is that what teal looks like? Man if they only had blue covers that can illuminate a cool blue color. Also, I don't think red will be any better. I bet if you did it with red it wouldn't come out red. Like how blue comes out teal i think red will come out to be something else.

I ordered my light condoms in blue from the link you provided. I was wondering with the lights that you covered, were there any in particular that were too dim afterwards. I was thinking that the gearshifter might be to dim if I put on 2 condoms but maybe better if I only had 1, but will the color be that much different? I just dont want any that are too dim to see.

Rep Power: 0 Just did my dashlights. The color is a pretty darkish teal/green but whatever, that's fine til someone finds a better condom. Pretty easy DIY actually. The cruise/moonroof/mirror are exceptionally easy. Just unscrew the screw in your change draw, pull that part off (use a little force) then unplug the plugs for the buttons and they pop right out. The mirror has some sort of metal fastener which i have no idea goes back on or what it's purpose is but i'll be putting condoms on those once i get them in the mail.
*EDIT* might be interesting to use the gels and the condoms, anyone try this yet? where could I possibly get some gels online anyway?

Rep Power: 0 Awesome DIY AK... I finally finished changing all my dash lights. I changed the stock 2001 gauges (including trip meter), center console, cruise control area, foglight switch, and window button. I really like the teal look as it goes well with my lcd. This DIY took me awhile, since in order to get my gauges to light up well I had to scratch out the red paint behind the gauges and order new bulbs that I blew from my local Honda dealership. The only stuff that doesn't light well are the hazard light (not at all due to red plastic), window button (very faint, placed blue condom over the led), recycle-air leds (grayish colored after placing blue condoms over leds, think I'll undo & leave stock orange leds), and gauge needles, but other than that looks very nice IMHO. I'll post pics, when i get my digicam back. Again, thanks for the DIY ak, I would never have attempted this otherwise.
