Rep Power: 0 this car is slow...
ok, I have had a civic before and I was planning on doing a swap, but I got T-boned by a lexus RX300... So I got a 240sx and it was fast enough for the time, but I drifted it into a gaurdrail after a van pulled in front of me... so now I have a 2003 civic LX. I chose the LX because I knew that either way the car was gonna make me feel like I was gonna get rear-ended and I was gonna swap the engine when the warranty goes out. But I dont know what engines will fit. I know the k20's will but is that it? I dont want to spend 4K on an engine... I am building this car for autoX not to see who can go fast in a straight line(). I just want something with maybe 160 hp so I can still afford to stiffen the chassis. I cant find anything on the net which doesn't surprise me since this model is relatively new. But I figure there would be on here that would know, so any suggestions, lists or links to lists would be much appreciated. Thank You.

Rep Power: 350 the K20A3 (02SI) will fit and give you the Hp numbers your looking for it is a Kseries but at this point your not gonna find any thing that will fit for the price range of engine your looking for. You could fit a bseries engine but would spend more money than trying to fit a K20A3 in there

Rep Power: 310 LoL, did you not see the "Civic" emblem on the trunk before buying the car? haha just playin. If you want a good fast car, go with one that has letters and/or numbers for a name, that don't spell anything out.
But I'm guessing you bought a Honda for it's modability. It's good stuff. Anything's possible with some cheddar. The K-swaps are under more light now, so it would be good to opt for one. Unless you're a genius are motors and putting them together or someone who is, do something mainstream like the kswap.

Rep Power: 0 if you are honestly into autox then spend all your money on suspension, wheels, tires, and brakes. Doing good mods on all of those things will easily run you $3-4 grand. Engines have extremely little to do with winning an autox event. Out here there is a 106 hp del sol without any engine mods that runs quickest time every sunday. Quicker than the z06 he runs against. Just my .02 cents.
