ok so i wuz wonderin if i could jus put in performance pistons and no fuel mods with a 3psi turbo.will it be safe.how much fuel will the car eat now?
how do u set boost pressure without a controoler?
ok and secondly wats the best way to loose weight for our cars, hood?, is there any thin else and will it really make a difference.
while im at it i thiught id ask about this too.the problem is my car all of a sudden is eatin too much fuel. wats the reason n wat can i do.

Couldn't you create more psi by blowing through a hose connected to the intake? Joking...Btu I think our internals will all be fine until 11 psi.
You need a boost controoler to control boost. BUT! you don't need an electric fancy one..just get an inline boost controller....you can get really good ones for under $100 and I have known peopel to make their own out of plumbing supplies.

ya i heard 11 psi is good with our stock eternals, but isnt it all about the returnless fuel system. i believe it is somehting like 3-5 psi without changing the fuel system.
best way to reduce weight is rip the interior, all panels and seats and carpet, but thats only if your racing, so yea CF hood, trunk, rear deck and fenders are avalible from Fiber Images (good quality), err mabie the backseats if you dont need them, rip em and everything under them out and carpet it back together...
general little things like new steering wheel, accessories (ac compressor) ect
other than that(probbly forgot some things) your down to replacing parts with aluminum or lightened parts which gets mega expensive

Some light weight racing wheels.. NO BODY KIT.. NO SPOILER OR WING.. remove your spare tire, remove ac pump/condencer ect.., racing seats, carbon fiber hood, fenders, deck lid, replace pullys w/ unorthodox alumn. pullys, billet alumn cam gear, different exhaust, REMOVE YOUR GIRL FIREND!! (just kidding) umm, thats all I can think of for now. And I belive you can boost 6 or 7 on stock fuel system w/ a extra injecter (sp?) Good luck

I think ppl were saying no more than 8 psi daily driven anything more than that and your finished. Both were tested by HKS and FiberImages nothing more than 8psi on stock internals. Not too sure about HKS but I'm almost positive about FiberImages.

There are no pistons for the D17 yet as far as I know. Last I heard was that Crower was making some. The MAP sensor can not handle boost pressure. You'll need a missing link valve to block it off. The only thing that might actually deliver more fuel to your engine and not 'cause you to run lean is the O2 sensor in the intake tract. The fuel system might have enough flow to let you run 3-4 psi without any fuel system modifications, but you might run a little lean. It all depends on how the ECU delivers fuel to the engine when it senses more O2 in the intake tract. Who knows how it handles that though? The car will consume as much gas as you give it to not run lean. Again, this depends on how the ECU does things. Nobody really knows the answer to that kind of question. Well, maybe a Honda tech does?
For weight reduction... A CF hood will loose you about 15 pounds. Same thing goes for the trunk. Fiber Images is a good company that makes both. Wheels are important. You can loose about 3 - 4 pounds per corner if you want 17's. You can loose a lot more if you get 15's. Spoon comes to mind, as well as a few other brands. Rotating weight is important. Flywheel, pullies, cam gear. Besides that I guess you could swiss cheese your car.
