muffler silencers

i have a tanabe racing medalion exhaust and it comes with a silencer. its really hard to put the silencer and take it out again. i think its too big for the muffler opening. i seriously had to really force it with a hammer to put it in properly and it was nearly impossible to take it back out. does anyone have this problem with any type of muffler with silencer?? or how can i get the silencer to slip on and off easier??

Try some WD-40. I had the same problem, not as extreme but WD40 worked just fine.
