fram oil filter

probobly has been gone over and over, but does fram make a oil filter for the civic, if so what is the part number. oh by the way i dont want the extra guard one, just the regular one. any help would be appriciated.

yeah im pretty sure they do thats what im running on my car.... just goto the parts store and look in the book i forget what the code is for it.. i would know if i saw it thought..

Look for the filter ending in 7317. The first two letters depict what type of filter you are getting, i.e. Duraguard, Extraguard, etc.

I can't say how they are for imports, but Fram makes some of the worst filters out there for V-8s. Poor construction and poor materials. Get Wix or Napa filters, anything but Fram.

read a comparison of oil filters if you ever get a chance. Fram oil filters are one of the worst filters out there. If you can't get to the dealer for the filter go with a purilator pure one, or mobil one filter, but the OEM honda one is actually the best

Actually I am running Amsoil 5W30 Full synthetic and find that BOSCH
filters work really well[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]

just outta curiosity how can you tell if a filter works well? I read the tests on them, but i've used different filters and the oil always looks the same. I just pick what the tests say perform the best....
