blue dashlight question

This is a pretty simple question. . . i got some of those gels coming in 2 my house in a few days but i was thinking, if the lights behind the dash are that light orange/yellowish color and the filter is blue wouldn't it make the light an off green color? Would i need to replace those lights with white lights for it to be the blue I want? And what size lights are those if I had 2 do that?

I don't know for sure, because I haven't done it myself, but from my understanding, the lights are whitish/yellowish stock. There is already a orange gel type thing in there that you have to take off. Thats what I thought....

when you are going to change the color just take the old gels and make a cut out with the new blue one and stick it in there and keep the other ones in case it doesnt look blue enough fo you does that help?

yeah, that's right. They're just plain old white/yellowish lights. Some have an orange/red condom on em, and others have orange/red plastic just behind where the light comes through the dash. Once you start to take the center piece apart you'll see what I'm talking about.

Hey Net, what do you want a picture of? I have a picture of the end product, but I didn't take any pics while I was taking everything apart.
