transmission?

ok i got this problem i think its the transmission, when the car is stoped after i press the gas it jerks forward as if i did a small nuetral drop, sometimes after i go in reverse then stop, put it in drive and put the gas the jerk is so bad the tires almost spin and the sound seems like its coming from behind me or under me.. any ideas [the dude i bought the car from thought nuetral drops were cool if that helps]

I had a mustank that did that. Same thing, the guys I bought it from thought neutral drops were cool. That following winter, it would take up to 10 minutes (depending on temp outside) before the car would even move cause the tranny was like it was in neutral til it warmed up. I changed the tranny and motor cause they also destroyed it w/ NOS then I ran the car into a sewer grate and destroyed the front end Oh well, much happier now. Not that y'all cared bout the story of my mustank.

If its not the fluid, it sounds like the tranny is wasted. Could be your torque converter or clutch packs are slipping or fried.

JoeyOKC is on a distinguished road
i don't think it's the Fluid level...personally. I had the same problem in my 94 Supercharged Thunderbird. I didn't do neutral drops, but I drove it like it was stolen 24/7. I can't remember what they said was wrong with it, but I ended up having to pay 1200 to get it rebuilt. I don't mean to scare you, but that's been my experience. Do check the level of the fluid though....prove me wrong.
